….. and I feel fine.
Just five short sessions to go in our Endday Campaign, and it will all be over. Literally over, because that’s when the world ends. Sorry about that. Slightly more importantly, that’s when the campaign ends too meaning it’s time to think about what to do next. Time to shift gears.
The Endday Campaign has been a blast from start to finish. We’ve run 4e D&D in the modern day and our stalwart band of heroes have faced off against the Lords of Hell themselves. They have battled demons, interceded to save a Demon Lord’s life against a horde of angels and seen several major cities wiped off the map. The game started big, and got bigger.
Everything changed on Day 15 when…… ah, but you’ll have to wait. I’ve kept quiet about the Endday Campaign for the past few months because there’s a pretty good chance it’s going to find its way into print. Yep – my mammoth epic 30 days to the end of the world campaign could well be coming to your gametable! There’s lots of things to sort out first, the most important of which is converting it over from 4e D&D to Mutants & Masterminds Third Edition. That brings it under the Super-Powered by M&M (formerly M&M Superlink) banner and the OGL, something I find far more palatable than WoTC’s GSL. In a fit of legalistic gymnastics I’ll most likely put up a minisite with conversion notes how to run the campaign in its original form, but that’s for later. The first challenge is completing the darned thing!
But enough of that.
When Endday comes to an end it’s going to leave a void in our gaming calendar which we aim to fill by running one-shot 4e D&D delves, messing around with ICONS and catching up with our long-running Mutants & Masterminds superheroes campaign. For us, this is comfort-zone lazy gaming at its finest. I’m looking forward to being able to put on the spandex again (figuratively speaking) and already have plans to introduce a couple of new characters into play. Fresh from the Legion of Heroes With Obvious Names, here’s Brickbat and Gunfire:
Brickbat: He’s build like a brick, and he wields a bat. What more do you need to know?
Gunfire: She has guns. They shoot bullets of fire. Simple concepts. I love ’em.

Looking forward to seeing this supplement. I don’t buy a lot of 3rd party Mutants and Masterminds stuff, but for you I’ll make an exception.
I didn’t know the 3rd edition of M&M was out already… I’ll have to check that as we are deep in a second edition game with a table I recently started!. And for once, I am a player , and having a blast!.

Third Edition isn’t out yet – it’s scheduled for release in August. I’m hoping that the Endday Campaign is ready for publication some time after that.

Superpowered by Mutants & Masterminds doesn’t go active as a publishing option until January 1st so you’ll have a little time to get things worked out.
It’s still a little in the air about what happens if you want to post between August and January. We’re having to clarify that one.
I’m not too worried though – if this gives me until January to get it finished, that’s fine by me :)
So Any news on this book? Is it still being done ? I didn’t see anything told about it being cancelled or not, but I admit I didn’t read all your posts theses days…
On hold, probably indefinitely for reasons I’m unable to go into.
I’m considering taking it back and issuing it as a free pdf instead, just to get it out there.
Ho, a shame, I would definitly have paid for that book, I really liked that idea. Well If the pdf does come out at one point all is not lost, you can still ask for donation or something ….
