Magic is not just for big blasty spells.

In a completely unrelated note, this getting started page over at Catalyst Games is a perfect one-page intro to the world of Battletech, containing (as it does) free PDFs of quick-start rules and an intro to the universe, links to further information and it’s linked in big friendly letters straight from the site main page. Compare and contrast with Wizards’ dog’s dinner of a website for D&D which is completely new-player unfriendly and looks like what the company makes is something called “D&D Insider” and not, y’know, the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

I’m only sayin’.

  1. I agree! And also, when you actually search through anything in the D&D website you seem to find an awful lot of legacy stuff (i.e. 3.5 ed) and not much at all 4e-wise. I don’t know if this is meant to be part of some kind of strategy of slow release, but it doesn’t seem to make much sense…

faustusnotess last blog post..Is there a 4e Orc?
