Going Places, Distant Shores

Going Places

This is a shot from our trip to the Roundhouse on Saturday. It hearkens back to the golden age of travel, when square jawed but handsome men wearing trilby hats removed flecks of soot from the eyes of beautiful young women amid the deafening raw of those glorious behemothian engines.

It’s a world apart from our sterile, overpriced and over paranoid airports. If any strange man approached a woman with a newspaper folded stifly under their arm now, they’d be shot.

Somehow, I think the old ways were the best, after all.
